With October being Texas Wine Month a number of wineries are being sought out by their local papers.

What is amazing is a reporter for Voice of America News visited Alamosa Winery and wrote an article in Russian.

Happy 90th John Crosby - Early pioneer and longtime supporter

John Crosby, an early pioneer and longtime supporter of the Texas Wine industry recently celebrated 90 years on March 16.

Following are the reflections about John Crosby by Dr. Charles McKinney. Dr. Mckinney retired as Director of the University of Texas System's experimental viticulture and enology program. He is currently teaching several different viticulture and enology classes at Grayson County College .

Lone Star wines - a long time supporter closes it's doors

Lone Star Wines propriater Chesley Sanders announced this week to Texas wineries that he closed his shop on March 4, 2009.  Lone Star wines was located in the Fort Worth historic Stockyards.

 I'd like to wish him luck in what ever new venture he chooses to pursue now.
